The area is ideal for golf,
shooting, fishing, bird-watching, hill walking, cycling, skiing or
just relaxing, whether passing through or using Glenan Lodge Guest
House accommodation as your base.
Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation is situated just 1/2 mile off
cycle route 7 which runs from Inverness to Perth. Covered storage
for cycles is available. For the fly-fishing enthusiast we have a 2 mile beat on the river
Findhorn available to our guests for some of the finest salmon and
wild brown trout fishing in the area.
For the golfer, Boat of Garten
are both within easy reach.
Bird watchers can explore the nearby RSPB
for Loch Garten's Ospreys, Loch Ruthven's Slavonian
Grebes and the Insh marshes winter wildfowl, not to mention Golden
Eagles, Buzzards and Red Kites. Scotland's 2nd largest malt
is within walking distance of the Lodge and
the village shop is only a short drive away.
Many places of historical interest are also close by including Culloden
and, of course, Loch
can also make a great day out as can Balmoral
the Queen's summer residence.
Tomatin is midway between the skiing centre of Aviemore
and the City of Inverness
capital of Highlands. An ideal base for exploring this most beautiful
part of the UK.
